This event started in 2019 as the Wisconsin Valley Golf Association and The NEW Golf Tour agreed to have a yearly competition to determine who would be the winner of the Valley Cup. The name of the Cup comes from the Wisconsin River Valley and the Fox River Valley. Each year the two tours would rotate hosting the other in a “Ryder Cup” style event.
There are players that auto-qualify for the Valley Cup team and then there are Captains Picks and primarily these team members qualify or are selected based on stats from that season. Based on your stats you earn points that add up throughout the season to determine who will make the team. You earn points based on pars, birdies, eagles, and if you have the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd best score in your flight in any given round on tour. 2024 Valley Cup will be held at Mascoutin Golf Club on October 6th.
Invites to the team will be made after the 2024 Tour Championship.
